Blackberry & Watermelon Smoothie

This is an ideal spring smoothie, the base of the smoothie is banana that blends nicely with the watermelon and blackberries. Both fruits are pleasantly sweet, the blackberries should be perfectly ripe as underipe black berries are very sour and would spoil the taste of the smoothie.

The coconut milk brings out the tropical nature of the drink giving it a silky smooth taste as the base liquid.

Like with most smoothies they are full of goodness, this one is no exception abundant in vitamins C and K. The two fruits combined means it is high in manganese additionally it may boost brain and oral health.

Top Tips

If you drink smoothies on a daily basis I would recommend freezing the bananas and blackberries for an ice cool drink.
