Zee’s Pro-Joy Smoothie

This smoothie is absolutely packed full of fruit and the addition of the beetroot gives it a very subtle ‘earthy’ flavour. It also makes the colour of this smoothie so inviting! It’s a great way to get you 5 a day. The recipe author, Zanele Madiba, has kindly shared it with us for you to all enjoy. Zee says that she calls this delicious smoothie “Pro-Joy” because the act of making them brings her so much joy.

Makes: 2 servings
Preparation Time: 5 minutes



  1. Blend all your ingredients until smooth.
  2. Pour into a glass and garnish with blueberries, raspberries and a slice of cucumber.

Top Tips

Our top tip is to add a little honey, then add a little more depending on how sweet you like it. Garnish with some fresh fruit and a slice of cucumber to really show off!
