Golden Milk Smoothie

Golden turmeric milk, or Haldi Doodh to give it its proper name, is a traditional India drink comprised most simply of warm milk (doodh) and turmeric (haldi). Haldi Doodh is the go-to immune booster given to children when they felt unwell or in pain.

Turmeric is an essential ingredient in Indian kitchens and has several great health benefits.

This smoothie uses golden milk as the base, banana for thickness and carrot for added sweetness.

Preparation Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • Banana, 1
  • Milk, 1 cup
  • Turmeric, 1/2 teaspoon
  • Root Ginger, 1/2 inch piece
  • Ground Cinnamon, pinch
  • Ground Nutmeg, pinch
  • Ground Black Pepper, pinch
  • Green Cardamom Pods, 4 crushed

Method

  1. Add your ingredients, Blend until smooth, Serve and enjoy

Top Tips

Be careful adding the spices as these have intense flavours. Using too much could overpower all of the other flavours and ruin you’re smoothie.
